I was born and bred in the province of West Flanders, but I have been living in downtown Ghent for over 34 years now.
I first came to Ghent to study political & social sciences at Ghent University. I graduated with a master in communication sciences. Then I decided to stay in Ghent and settle here.
Because of the superior quality of life not to mention its medieval setting, I have become a real Ghent chauvinist.
stubborn but friendly
I am really fond of Ghent: her poignant stories, her quirky wood panelled bars, her cosy terraces and restaurants.
I also appreciate her (street) art and culture, her crossover of musical styles, her dazzling nightlife not to forget the stubborn but friendly and easy-going Ghentians.
I’d like to share my love for Ghent by immersing you in her rich history, culture, architecture and entertainment.
